Transferring From Villanova To Notre Dame

So i am applying to Notre Dame for next year from Villanova University (rising sophomore)

My first semester GPA was a 3.5 in the college of engineering (i am applying to the engineering school at Notre Dame as well)

Should get about a 3.5 2nd semester as well (A's being Calc 3, Physics, Engineering...B in chem :/)

In high school i had a 3.66 GPA (roughly)
Got a 1400 on SAT's (2 Part)
33 composite ACT's

Took 8 AP Exams (English lit-3, lang-4, Stats-4, Calc BC-5, Macro-4, Micro-4, Physics B-4, Ushistory-4)

Started My own club sport team at villanova, did multiple intramural sports, and part of inter-hall council.

Thats pretty much it...what are my chances? O and something i forgot to mention...i was rejected in high school early action :/ ....i think it was due to my poor application (ignorant high schooler)

my bad for posting 2ce (wasn't sure what section to put it in)

Maybe repost here?

Good luck to you

bump…and cmon guys…even if u dont know anything about transfers make some sort of a comment

Sorry, I normally watch this message board more closely but it has been really busy. I am a Notre Dame alum who transferred in after being rejected EA way back in 2003. I created a website with most of my advice: [Transferring to Notre Dame](http://community.wvu.edu/~mrn006/ndtransfer/)

I think it is going to be close. ND transfer admissions has gotten tougher and they are looking for 3.6-3.7+. However, the fact that you are applying for engineering will help you. I think the biggest factor is if you have the right classes (see my website for a discussion of this). ND expects transfers to graduate in four years so they require certain classes. If you don’t have the right classes (or are close), they unfortunately won’t take you regardless of your GPA. Therefore, I would say compare the classes you took to the ones they recommend and that will give you a good idea of your chances.

Good luck!

still waiting!

I PMed you details, but your Nova grades in specific engineering classes are certainly good, which is what will matter most I suspect. Good luck!
