Im currently in the college of L&S and heard from a sophomore that IB credits cant be transferred...is that true?

the IB courses I took:
math SL
english A1 SL
chemistry HL
physics HL
history HL

my fall schedule:
math 16A
chem 1A
comparative literature R1A
L&S1

I want to graduate early if possible, so im thinking if i can use my HL credits towards my chem or physics classes or fulfills the breadth? also, can english SL waive R1A or R1B??

school has already started...so im kinda in a hurry to know the answer. thanks!!!

You get 20 units that count towards graduation reqs if you achieve the IB Diploma (min 30 points i think); not sure about certificates though.

IB courses cannot be used to fulfil the L&S 7 breadth reqs. SL courses won’t place you out of any classes here. English A1 HL will place you out of both R&C reqs. Most other HL classes will place you out of the intro classes here, e.g. Econ HL places you out of Econ 1 etc.

The usefulness of your IB HL classes really depends on your major. If they are relevant to your major, you get to skip some of the intro classes, otherwise, they are pretty useless since you can’t use them for breadth reqs.
