I applied to transfer into OSU for this upcoming spring semester, I am currently a freshman at another university so my application is only based on my high school information.

I originally got wait listed twice at osu and never found out if i ended up getting accepted.

My high school gpa was a 3.8 (weighted), my ACT was a 26, and I had a good amount of extra curricular activities. I also have been talking a lot with the transfer admission counselor and even went to OSU to meet with him.

I am not sure if I am going to have a harder chance getting in for the spring semester because i don’t have any grades from college yet or if my chances will be the same as when i applied while i was in high school. I’m also not aware if the fact that there are less people applying will help or hurt me for this upcoming spring semester.

If anyone has information about transferring after one semester as a freshman and what my chances may be please comment and let me know.

I just got my acceptance letter last week. I’m a freshmen applying for spring '14.
I currently taken 16 college credits and my high school gpa was a 94 average. SAT superscore came out to be 2160.

How do you calculate a 94 gpa? my school did it by 4.0 weighted scale so mine was a 3.8 weighted. Also, what was your highest sat score, non super scored?

@bigerami my highschool did not use the 4.0 scale but gave us a number from 0 -100.
94 weighted gpa would equal to a 4.0
Never taken ACT before
For non-superscore, the highest was 1980.

@Momoflots, I applied on September 25th and all my documents got sent in by October 1st. Pretty quick! I got my letter on October 14th, so exactly 2 weeks.
Since its rolling admission, you will get yours soon!
My friend got accepted 2 days ago and applied the same time as I did.

P.S I don’t know if this would be any help for you but I am most likely going to reject this school offer. 31k a year after financial aid is way to much for me.

He’s a sophomore in college ATM. His college GPa is only a 2.8 and his sat is 1100(reading and math). He got a 65avg in high school. According to him.

You guys still didn’t hear back? I have no idea why my friend and I got accepted so fast
