<p>I don't live in Texas so I don't have the CAP option, and I didn't apply to UT thinking I wouldn't get in. </p>
<p>Where should/can I apply to have a decent chance to transfer into UT (Computer Science)</p>
<p>I'm asking specifically for Texas schools. I was thinking about UTD (accepted), but would UTA be a better option if my final goal is UT?</p>
<p>It doesn’t really matter. I’d just choose whichever school is cheaper and where you think you’ll be able to earn a higher GPA.</p>
<p>Can’t really speak for UTA, but I know UTD has an excellent computer science program. I don’t know how much you’ll be able to get your feet wet in a year, but they have a good program and may be able to enter the UT CS program better prepared.</p>
