What are the guidelines, as in academic-wise, in order to have a succesful transference from a college to Columbia. I noticed that at my current state that there is no way i can make it to Columbia, and it has always been my number one college. :[ But i was hoping that maybe i can transfer there for my last three years of college. So i need to know what i have to do during college in order to seal the deal that i would get accepted to Columbia for my sophomore year. Any advice would be gladly accepted. Thank you.

Do what you love!

A high GPA and high SATs are really important so study hard in first year and make sure you do well on the SATs. 3.8+ GPA and 2200 SATs are good MINIMUMS to aim for.

In college, do some extracurriculars you love, whatever those may be. The key here is that instead of compiling a laundry list of ECs, do a couple that you are really passionate about and will have heavy involvement in.

Develop a relationship with some professors, and be mindful of who will write your reccomendation letter(s) if you decide to apply.

Your high school record is pretty much set in stone, so you can't do much about it.

Above all else, enjoy first year!

Do you recommend that we retake the SAT’s to get the 2200 minimum?
