Transferring into nursing

is it hard to transfer into nursing major my sophomore year? or is it even possible to transfer before my freshman year?

Not sure if you can transfer before freshmen, but maybe this will help you out if you haven’t checked it out yet.

[UCI Change of Major Criteria: College of Health Sciences](http://changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_HlthSci.html)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s extremely difficult to get into nursing at UCI. While the website says you can transfer your sophomore year, it really only happens your junior year.

So transferring in your freshman and sophomore years is unfortunately impossible. The nursing program is new and impacted. You can however to talk to the Nursing Science counselors to get more info on transferring.

Is it nearly impossible to transfer in during your Junior year as well? I really want to get into the Nursing Science program and I’m very worried that I may not even get in for my Junior year… which makes me wonder “what then?” .-.

wow… is it that hard.? i just appealed to the nursing program (i’m an incoming freshmen)… is that an automatic rejection of my appeal?

That is why they suggest you have a back-up major that you may fall on, if things don’t work out. So pick a major with similar classes required as Nursing.

you can appeal to nursing? o_o is it still possible? more info please! D:
