Transferring into School of Engineering

What's up doods. I was just wondering what kind of stats it takes to transfer into UT's school of engineering. Thanks

Unfortunately, it’s hard as hell

good luck bro

Haha that’s cool, I like a challenge. Thanks man.

wow…thanks for letting me know in advance! possibly saved me from future troubles
now i’m sure if I don’t get into engineering, i’m just gonna go to A&M…instead of doing undeclared and wait to transfer…

If you’re set on going to UT, you could go to a community college to clear out basic courses and then transfer. I externally transferred into EE with a 3.76.

That was only for internal transfer though. I wonder how the GPA’s for external transfer differs? What GPA do you think is needed to transfer externally into ChemE?

As far as my understanding goes, it’s higher than internally transferring. ChemE is usually one of the harder ones to get into, so it’ll be pretty high.

You think a 3.8 should do it?

That makes me happy. I’m looking to transfer into EE.

I would guess a bit higher than a 3.8, but I’m no admissions officer.

Generally, EE has a lower gpa requirement. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea (I’m thinking of transferring out myself).

Really? Interesting. What exactly do you not enjoy about it?
