Transferring into SFS?

Hey. I am going to apply for SFS. I know it's extremely difficult--so I need your opinions, feedback, and insights.

HS GPA UW: 3.8
HS SAT: 1900/2400
Decent Extra Currics in Junior & Senior year. I was a retail manager the summer before college. 40 hours per week.

I'm currently a freshman at the University of Michigan

College classes this semester:
Math 105 (Precalc. I know).
Polisci 160 (Intro to International Politics)
Lloyd Hall Scholars 125 (essentially English 125, but more "sophisticated").
Psych 120 (First year seminar in democracy, race & ethnicity).

*This is where you come in. What should I take next semester? I'm deciding between these:
Definitely Math 115 (Calculus)
I have to take a 3 credit LHSP class, so... that sucks. But it's required.
French 101?
Intro to American Political Science?
American History?
European History?
other.....?

Extra curricular activities in college:
Campus Philharmonia
College Democrats - Student Issues Committee
Model UN

Help.................

To be honest with you, I haven't a clue. Most of us who are currently Georgetown undergrads started off from the beginning, but there may be transfers who lurk somewhere around CC. It is definitely possible (I know several students who transferred in from various schools... including public universities.)

You should probably take European History (may count for Western Civ credit) and probably should have coursework in the fundamentals of International Relations, Comparative Political Science, etc. I wouldn't take the American Political Science courses, or the American History for that matter. (If you were accepted, and your credits transferred over, they would probably count toward elective credit, if anything).
