I'm in the middle of my first semester at community college(BMCC) and if all goes well, it should end something like this:
GPA: 3.7
15 credits
Phi Theta Kappa Member
BMCC Writer's Guild member
Various community services(i.e. trash pick-up at local parks)

I did horrible in High School. I graduated with something along the lines of a 2.3 and my SAT's stand at a mediocre 1680. I plan on retaking them next month.
I'm all good on the portfolio front, so since the general consensus is that Tisch is half portfolio, half grades, if I apply for an external transfer for Fall '15 in February-March '15(after the first semester ends and I'll be able to send in my CC grades), will they look closer at my CC grades then my HS?
I was hoping they see I made tremendous progress from HS to CC and be impressed.
I know there are roughly 10-20 transfer spots open each year, so what are my chances? Hopefully a student in the program can share his/her stats so I know what I'm dealing with here. Thanks in advance!
