Transferring-- Need help please!

So when I was in high school, I took 5 college classes at a community college. I ended up with a 3.4 because I got a shitty C in statistics. It’s bad, I know. I’m planning to transfer from another community college and was wondering if these grades will become part of my transfer GPA or just my college GPA? So, if anyone knows this answer please help me! Also, can some people give me some insight about transferring as an Econ major? I heard its one of the easiest majors out there to transfer from. Thank you!

Oh yeah, the classes were English 1A, Statistics, Physics, U.S History, and Microeconomics.

Bump.

To my understanding, only AP test scores carry over from high school. GPA is based on the average GPA of all transferable courses.

No, I don’t think so. Does anyone else know the answer to this question? Come on Berkeley kids, you all are genius’!

Yes, it will count towards GPA but it won’t be weighed as heavily.

@foothillbuddy Thanks for the response. But what do you mean it won’t be heavily weighted? My GPA is still going to start with a 3.4 right?

@GrammyWinner Yes it will, college classes will follow you your whole life. The schools will just see that it was taken in high school and it may be less of a factor during admissions.
