<p>Take a look at the chart linked to on post #10. The total acceptance rate for 3.0-3.19 is almost 20%. </p>
<p>So yes, there are some applicants being admitted at this gpa level. But as with UG admissions, there are so many other factors involved. One example, many med school applicants are NT and some have done post bacs. All grades are counted in the gpa, but how those grades occurred over time is a factor.</p>
<p>Having a kid applying this cycle, for all the work, time and money involved in applying to med school, I think you’d want to go into it with a higher than 1 in 5 chance of being accepted.</p>
