I am a sophomore at Florida State University. I am relatively happy here, but this school was my last choice since I would have preferred to go out of state and to a better ranked school. I’m not quite sure I really like Tallahassee and i hate the party school reputation of FSU. I am currently majoring in Criminology but may switch to advertising or marketing. my GPA is a 3.9. I am a first generation college student so I dont really know what I’m doing.
I am considering transferring but I’m not sure where I’d go ( somewhere a little more up north preferably). I could go to UF since its higher ranked and I have Bright Futures, but I want to go out of state, but it is extremely expensive and even the application fees for the places I am considering applying to is a lot.
If money is a factor, you are going to really be limited. Most schools don’t give as much to transfer students, and you’ll be losing a lot with giving up BF.
If you don’t like Tallahassee, why not transfer to another school in Florida? FAU, FIU, USF?
Those other schools are a little too close to home for me (I’m from South Florida). But youre right, BF is really helpful
