Transferring out of GLS

I was accepted into the GLS program, but I absolutely do not want to do it and will only attend if I can switch into CAS. Is there any possibility of this happening? Thanks!

If you want to go to NYU and got into the GLS - go. I posted a huge post in another NYU Global section but here’s the deal… the first year you get to live somewhere amazing…most kids that get into GLS don’t stay. It is alluring… the different cultures, etc…but yes, you transfer out. Basically your first year you do basic liberal art requirements - you just get them all done in one year plus 2 electives (1 per quarter). The end of your freshman year they want you to decide if you are going to opt to stay IN GLS or transfer out. It’s not a big deal… you just choose the school you want to transfer to and you transfer. The transfer takes place Junior and Senior year. You cannot transfer into Stern or Tisch full-time but you can to CAS, Gallatin, etc. No worries! It’s what my daughter is doing. If you were accepted into London - here is a good article about life in London as an NYU student: http://kirramagazine.com/a-visitors-guide-to-london/
