Hey all,

I'll currently be attending NYU this upcoming fall, but in all honesty, NYU was not my top choice. I didn't do as well in high school as I'd hoped, not because I lacked the intellectual capacity, but because I lacked the drive. I've committed to changing myself and I truly want to redeem myself. My GPA for high school is around a 3.7 uw and around a 4.0 w. I also have a pretty pathetic 31 single sitting on the ACT(33 super if people even do that. I am willing to retake it for a 34+). Ideally I'd want to transfer out as a sophomore but I'm concerned my high school record will inhibit my success. Im a prospecitve Economics major and After reading a lot about NYU, im concerned about the excessively Pre-professional atmosphere and lack of intellectual stimuli. I'm looking at schools like Rice, Northwestern, Uchicago, Upenn, Brown, Cornell, and Berkeley. Any help would be much, much appreciated as I have little to no experience in the transfer process.

Thank you!
