I am a first year student at a ranked Ohio LAC. It's not quite as highly ranked as oberlin or kenyon, but is still a decent school. I am still getting acquainted with the school and the student body, but am really disliking the experience the more time I spend here. I am looking to transferring to a school with a more diverse (both ethnically and economically), less preppy, and hopefully more well rounded student body; and while i'm not looking for a preppy waspy school, I'm definitely not looking for a weed smoking super liberal school (if that makes sense). Staying close to a city would also be nice.

I think I will achieve a 3.5 gpa my first semester here, but hopefully a bit higher. Im currently taking intro to bio, gen chem, intro to classics, and a first year seminar/sociology class on race. I had approximately a 3.0 gpa in HS, and a 3.5 maybe weighted. I was looking for school suggestions that would also be able to either keep my merit scholarship, as I have here, or provide good financial aid.

Any suggestions??

I am currently most reasonably aiming at Wake Forest, where I was wait listed but didn't get off over the summer. But aside from that, I applied ED (to be deffered and then rejected ) at Brown, and think I'll apply again, although my chances are slim to none :(

If any more information would be helpful just let me know
