Transferring question

When I originally applied for a couple of csu for the fall 2012 year. I had outline the classes I was to take through the year (I was to complete the remaining classes for the igetc) however I failed a class and won't be able to complete my Igetc plan by the end of spring. So if I decide to just complete the breath instead (I would still meet the required 90 quarter units) would I need to correct the changes by contacting the school? or did I needed to complete all the classes I originally outline. I would have completed the golden 4 and the Breath by the spring.

I have not been accepted to the school but would like to be. It is my first time applying for transfer so i'm not sure how to proceed with my predicament.

I’m kind of surprised you haven’t’ heard from any CSUs yet. I’m not sure what your chances are with a failed class. But I do know that it is possible to transfer without a completed IGETC. If everything else is good besides that one class, then i think you might be ok. Otherwise, I suggest retaking that class in the summer. And if that doesn’t get you in, finish the IGETC and try again.

Personally, I have conditional admittance to two CSUs just as long as I pass Communications 1 this spring. So, I guess it is possible to get in without the IGETC officially completed. But, I applied to transfer with an A.A.

Good luck!
