Hi everyone,

I received a guaranteed transfer to the ILR school last year, and am transferring to Cornel this year in the fall. I was just wondering if anyone could give any tips/suggestions as how best to integrate myself into campus and meet people/make friends?

I was placed in sheldon court, so I will not be living in west campus. How easy is it for transfers in collegetown to make friends etc?

Thanks, I'm very nervous about the social situation!

I would not be too worried about making friends! there are a lot of transfers coming in, so I would recommend meeting as many of those as you can. Also, although a lot of students are living on West Campus, many are living in Greek housing and in Collegetown as well. Also, a lot of nightlife occurs in Collegetown, so you will be very close to the social scene!

Yup, you will meet lots of other transfers. Your goal should also be to get out of the transfer bubble and make other friends. ILR students take lots of classes together, so that should help with making friends. Also, join clubs/organizations to meet people!
