<p>if your only goal is to get into a good college, i would advise against transferring. many of the schools on that list (ivy prep league) are superb, ultra-competitive schools, where the workload is totally crushing and would probably lead to a decrease in your grades. and your college counselor would know basically nothing about you, so you’d need to work really fast for glowing recs from them.</p>
<p>ps - about the whole cheating issue, cheating is everywhere. HM is kind of notorious for it.</p>
<p>i don’t think it would help your chances, but i don’t think it would be suspicious either… if you’re absolutely miserable at your current school, go for it, but otherwise, i would stay put. just my two cents…</p>
