Hi all, Im looking to apply to nyu this fall and am pretty interested in the stern school of business but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer into a business major at stern from the college of arts and sciences. Since I am not 100 percent sure on what I want to do, and stern is obviously more difficult to get into, would it be a hassle to transfer to stern after a year at the CAS? I've been trying to find an answer to this question but with no luck.

If anyone knows the same answer but for boston college that would be great as well

yes, it’s a huge hassle. while it’s not impossible to go CAS -> Stern, NYU ~knows~ that people will try and do this and they make you jump through hoops in order to get in to Stern. you’re better off trying to get into Stern outright.

I attended the NYU info session this past weekend and my understanding from the presentation was that you are NOT permitted to transfer into Stern or Tisch from other NYU schools due to the highly competitive nature of the initial admissions process to these to schools.
