Transferring student from CC, what are my chances of getting into SDSU?

Hello everyone! I am currently a student at Southwestern Community College (In Chula Vista). I’m applying to transfer this month and I’m pretty nervous wondering if I’ll get in. My major is Public Health and my applying GPA is a 3.5. Does anyone have any insight on how they accept applications? Will it benefit that I’m applying from a local community college? When do acceptance messages usually go out?

Also, how is the college life at SDSU? And any recommendations on where to move (on-off campus) if I get in?

Thank you! I appreciate any information!

You look like a solid applicant and being local is an advantage. Best of luck.

Did you try applying to UCSD as well. WIth your stats you could get in if you have a good college essay (personal questions). Being a local applicant, Chula Vista, is commutable distance to SDSU; so that’s also a plus. Best
