Transferring to a better school

I'm currenly a student at The University of Mary Washington, and I want to hopefully transfer to Georgetown, Colgate University, or The College of William and Mary. In high school, I was a good student, but not great. I had a 3.41 unweighted and a 3.81 weighted GPA in high school with a 2020 SAT score. I was very unmotivated in high school. That being said, I looked at the average transfer accepted GPA and SAT scores, and I literally have the average SAT score for accepted transfer students for Georgetown, which is ideally my first choice. I know getting into any of these schools will be hard, as they are all better schools than the one I am currently attending. Assuming I work hard enough this year and get all A's, is it plausible for me to think I can transfer to any of those schools? In addition to that, does anyone have any general advice to give me on the transfer process in general, or what it is really like? I have looked at the threads on here and they are helpful, but they are a little vague. Like, is there anything I should do other than the commonapp and Georgetowns application? In addition, are there any other things I can do outside of school that might increase my chances of acceptance? Thanks a lot for any help anyone can get.
