transferring to a CSU with a "D" in math

I'm trying to transfer to a CSU, specifically CSULA for Fall 2012. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems and will complete all the pre-reqs along with IGETC by Spring 2012. I passed Statistics and took Trigonometry half a year ago and received a "D." My GPA is 3.01 for UC and 2.85-2.9 for CSU. I am wondering if I have all the requirements to transfer, but have a "D" in Trignometry, will I be able to transfer to CSULA?

If, trigonometry isn’t a prereq, then it probably won’t matter. you should re-take the trig class though…a D on a transcript doesn’t look real well. Also you should check in with the school you’re trying to transfer to and speak with your counselors at your current institution.

Best of Luck!

I don’t know if this will help but when I talked to CSUF they said that it did not matter if a student got a D as long as the student met all the GPA requirements. I don’t know if this applies to all Cal States or to just CSUF.
