Transferring to a UC in 1 year

Hey everyone, I plan on transferring to a UC within a year and while I was looking at the requirements, I was wondering if someone could elaborate on the 60 units required by spring. Does this mean I must have 60 units by the completion of my 3rd semester or could I have 60 units by the end of my 4th semester? Thanks a lot everyone.

you must have 60 units by the end of your last semester before transfer.

I started taking CC courses starting my sophomore year and racked up 20 units by the time i graduated. 40 more to go for me in 1 year :)

60 units must be completed the semester/quarter prior to transferring. I hope you have AP credit or started taking CC classes in HS! Good luck to you!

my bfs trying to transfer soon too, you can’t go to summer school in order to complete all 60 units before you transfer in fall right? or can you? (he’s trying to get into UCSB)

Nope. You have to have those 60 units Spring Quarter/Semester. You can take
summer courses to finish IGETC if you haven’t completed it since IGETC Certification is due in mid-September while the Spring transcripts are due on July 15th-ish.
