Transferring to a university in the spring

So I just graduated high school and I’ll be going to a community college for the fall semester simply taking some core classes : eng, hist, Visual arts, and math. By the time the spring semester comes I’ll hopefully be in a university. My question is aside from the fact that I’ll be starting later what should I really expect. I'm a very socialable person but I may miss out on pledging because it might have only been for fall. Also in terms of adjusting is it harder as opposed to the fall.

The main reason I am transferring is because in high school I wasted time and could have done a lot better. Which is the reason why I want to transfer earlier because I KNOW I should be in a uni in the fall, but due to me wasting time I have to go to a CC first. Now granted my gpa was a 2.8 in high school and I wasn't very involved in organizations, clubs or sports.(aside from football 1st semester before I got sent to challenge) However when I go to CC I’m going to retake my SAT's and have an extremely high GPA shooting for 3.4.

Any concerns or odds of getting into a university simply after a fall semester and enrolling during the spring.

You haven't given us too many details, but I will warn you that many universities, especially the more well known/bigger ones, require you to have a full years worth of credit under your belt before they will accept you. Furthermore, you won't even have one set of grades to show your new college before they make their decision.

Shoot for a 4.0. And do very well on your SATs when you retake them. You should be able to land yourself a spot in a decent university for Fall.
