I have been accepted into utsa and I originally wanted to study biology and go into the med field but Ive realized i fell in love with agriculture what would my chances of success in transferring be ?? I have 3 ag Colleges in mind and they are Texasa&m ,Texas Tech and Tarleton State University but i have no idea what chances of transferring i would like to be able and go into a&m since that was one of the first colleges i was lookin into im still undecided of utsa but i applied there because its in my hometown San Antonio but now i made the decision of going into the ag field and utsa doesn’t offer it and i wanna transfer what would my chances even be into going into any of those colleges??
Would it make sense for you to take a gap year and apply for 2019?
Which aspect of agriculture? Different places have different programs.
If you get good grades in your gen ed classes your first year, you will be able to transfer somewhere. Make sure you investigate all of the state Us so that you know which ones are good for you.
I have thought off doing a gap year but I feel it’d be too risky ,id like to get into agribusiness or into the science field of agriculture
I would go for Texas A&M if you’re looking at doing ag. It’s actually not as difficult to get into as you might think. Just go to UTSA and take some general ed courses. Make sure the TCCN number matches the courses at A&M, then just transfer after a semester or two. English, History, College Algebra, etc should all transfer. You could save a lot more money by just starting at SAC then transferring from there.
