I talked to a lot of other incoming frosh at orientation who said HC wasnt their first choice or that they also got rejected from Boston College, Georgetown, etc. Are people thinking of transferring? I know I need to give HC a real chance, but does anyone know how tough it would be to get into BC as a transfer? Does coming from another Jesuit college help or hurt?

When I was your age I had been accepted to BC and HC but rejected from Georgetown, which at that point was my dream school. I know for the first few weeks at HC I kept it in the back of my mind that I could transfer to Georgetown and I know a lot of others felt similarly. Honestly though after about three weeks I never again even considered the possibility of transferring from my new home and I only know one other person who did end up transferring, which was for family reasons. My advice to you is this: go to HC in the fall with an open mind, embrace life as a Crusader and don't even consider the possibility of transferring. Only start to give it consideration after your first semester if you are really not liking it. If you go to college in the fall convinced that you want to go to another school I guarantee you will be unhappy. That's my advice, feel free to take it or leave it.
