Transferring to BU for Comp Sci

Long story short: I didn't care about school through highschool, didn't try, barely passed knowing I could get into a college anyway. Went to Cobleskill but my financial aid screwed up and I left midway through a semester but kept the debt. Moved to SC and tried a CC there, then ended up moving back to NY.
Now, I plan on attending BCC for a semester or two, but was told that computer classes at BCC won't transfer to BU. Litetally nobody has been helpful. I have contacted the CS chairpersons at both schools, admissions at BCC, and have spoken with a few other faculty members and nobody can give me an idea of what to take that will transfer to BU towards the degree. My issue is that financial aid will only cover courses that are specific to my declared major, and I don't think gen ed courses count for many of them. So I'm really looking for some advice from CC to BU transfers.
I'm also wondering what kind of GPA is expected for transfers to be accepted? When I spoke with the chairperson at BU, she requested to see my previous college transcript and when she saw my classes and GPA (3.1) her personality flipped and she acted like talking to me was a waste of her time. I have a 3.1 because I was working an average of 60 hours a week and moved during the end of my latest semester. I will be working no more than 30 hours a week anymore during school.
Again, hoping for any and all advice! Thanks!
