Hi everyone,

I've been doing some searching around the fourms, and it seems that many people who apply to BU, also apply to Northeastern as a safety school. I'm applying to both this month for January admission, so I'd be grateful if some of you could comment on what you think of my credentials. I'm not too concerned with which school I get in to, because I just really want to get out of Ohio and into Boston - I love it there! Here we go:

High School Stats (not stellar, not terrible):

-Graduated from a private high school in 2005
-Took quite a few honors courses, AP English, AP US History
-Never took the AP tests
-GPA ended up being a 2.9
-Class ranking in the bottom 50% (vague, I know)
-1210 SAT (600 Math, 610 Verbal)

College Stats:
-I'm in my junior year at Bowling Green State University in Ohio
-74 credit hours accumulated, thus far
-Cumulative GPA of 3.4
-I was a philosophy major my first two years, have almost enough credits for a major in Phil
-Switched to computer science this summer, and taking my first CS course this semester (yes, quite a switch from philosophy!)
-I've been active since my freshman year with the Physics/Astronomy Dept. doing working at the observatory and planetarium doing research (astronomy is a hobby) - have a really good letter of rec. coming because of this
-I'm a resident advisor
-Trouble free my entire life

I probably put some irrelevant info in there somewhere, but I just thought I'd list what I could. What are my chances at BU, and am I a "shoe in" for Northeastern? I plan on applying as a computer science major to both schools, if that makes a difference.

Thanks much!
