Transferring to CCNY

I wanted to know if its possible to transfer to CCNY as a fresmen for the spring semester?
I'm going to another CUNY school this fall. As a HS student i did not get in to CCNY. So my concern is that if i do apply as a transfer freshmen for the spring semester, what would the colleges look at?

My HS grades? If its the same would i get denied again?
Sat?/ Act Scores? My scores are pretty low, so should i retake them?
So basically what would i have to do to transfer to CCNY?

i think u need to have 24 credits n it isn’t possible in a semester…the credit u can get in a semester is 12-15…so u have to wait till a year…n have minimum of 2.5 GPA

Dear Mike Steven,

Thank you for your interest in the City College of New York.

Generally, we require students to earn 24 college credits (typically one year of full-time study) before applying for transfer. Once a student has earned 24 credits, then we will no longer consider the high school record in the admission evaluation.

However, depending on your program of interest and how well you do in your first semester, there may be a possibility of transferring sooner. It would be best to contact me via e-mail at cparker@ccny.cuny.edu so that we can discuss your situation in more detail, and develop a plan for your eventual transfer.

I am a perspective transfer student. My GPA is below a 2.50 (around a 2.27), so I was not accepted. Should I file an appeal? I was informed that CCNY bases admissions predominately on the GPA from the prior school. I have been taking non degree classes at City and my current GPA from those classes is above a 2.5. All in all, should I file an appeal or apply to another more liberal school.
