Transferring to Cornell?

I have read many of the questions pertaining to one's chance of getting into Cornell. However, I am posting this because I wish to know my own individual chances. I understand that it's not exact and one's chance of acceptance depends on many factors, so I don't expect any exact answers.

Here's some information and some worries I have associated with them.

Grades:
My highschool GPA was around a 3.8. In ninth grade I made a 24 on the ACT. In eleventh grade I made a 31. I was not able to take the ACT plus writing and because of that I gave up on attempting the SAT subject tests due to the fact that the college I settled for didn't require it. I just finished my first semester at the University of South Alabama with a 4.0. I'm worried that my not having taken the SAT Subject tests may affect my chances.

Activities:
Due to financial and transportation problems, I refrained from participating in university activities and associations. However, I have an avid interest in programming and have taught myself C++ and am now working with Actionscript and Flash. I have also taught myself to play the guitar and piano and am currently making music with a band. I also enjoy writing and have won multiple awards for singing, both individually and in a choral environment. I say this because I am worried that my chances will be diminished due to my not having participated in school activities and I am hoping these activities I have listed may somewhat offset that, if they can at all.

Financial issues:
I come from a very low-income family and have depended on scholarships and financial aid to pay for my schooling and books. I also share a car with my mother, meaning I am not fully independent transportation-wise. This worries me because, even though Cornell has great financial aid packages, these financial issues will make acceptance more competitive, or so I've heard.

I feel as though I may be able to write a satisfactory response to the Cornell essays, but I am not sure about my chances as is. I'm wanting to major in Computer Science there, if that makes a difference.

Could anyone with any experience at or with Cornell please respond to this? Regardless of your experience, any and all help and advice is extremely appreciated!
