So I applied to Dartmouth last year and got in and am now attending a different university. If I decided to reapply as a transfer student would the fact that I got in (yet did not attend) negatively or positively affect my chances (assuming that I have good grades at my current college/good recommendations, all the necessary fields of an application, etc)?

Im in the same situation! anyone got any ideas on this???

The upside is that your application is on file with the school for 2 years. The downside is that someone would have to leave and you would still be in the pool with the other transfer applicants.

Last year 861 students applied for a transfer to Dartmouth. 28 were accepted.

In the end it is going to be all about the institutional mission and what the school needs to balance out the class.
