I'm considering to transfer as a rising junior.
Just need some input on my chances.
BE HONEST.

Current School - Penn State
Current GPA (at end of fresh)- 3.7
SAT Math - 680 SAT Reading- 620
HighSchool GPA - 2.7
activities during college-
+participant in research fair
+business plan competition
+study abroad (tentative)
+faculty research project
-VERY tenacious / go-getter attitude. (read: entrepreneurial)

I think the my high school GPA might be the dealbreaker...
thoughts? I'm majoring in Finance btw. (have to switch to Econ if [somehow] I get into Dartmouth?)

Also, if not Dartmouth, what schools should I be looking at with my type of credentials?

I have no idea what the stats are for transfers, but if I were chancing you for RD admission as a freshman I’d say your chances weren’t good.

WHY do you want to transfer? I have the perhaps-mistaken impression that having a very good reason to want another school, and the transfer school in particular, is important.

I think Dartmouth will be pretty tough. Last year I was seeing 4.0 high school, 3.9 college, 2350 stat kids not getting in as transfers. If I were you I would focus on top 20, non Ivy, schools they tend to be MUCH more friendly to transfers. These schools include Northwestern, WashU, Georgetown, Vandy, Rice, Emory, and UNC-CH.
