I hope this is in the right section. Anyway, I don't know if anyone's done this before, but if you have, then please let me know how it went and how it worked!

I'm in a bind. I screwed up pretty badly with my classes and am now on academic suspension and financial aid suspension. I went to the doctor, was diagnosed with ADD (had symptoms since I was a kid) and mild anxiety. My doctor provided a note and documentation, I brought that to a meeting with some administrators from my school who are pretty helpful and willing to work with me. My reinstatement is pretty ironclad, however, my appeal for financial aid is unlikely. I can't afford my current university without federal loans, so I found a cheap community college that will accept me despite current circumstances. I may even be able to get financial aid for this cc, I'm not sure. The financial aid adviser is supposed to get back to me when he's sure. HOWEVER, I'm not eligible for transient permission because of my current standing. My registrar office said I should look into transferring, but hasn't gotten back to me about my other questions concerning transferring which are:

(1) Am I even allowed to do that? It would hopefully just be fore one semester.

(2) How would my credits be transferred back? I'm not asking about credit equivalency, just how would I get them back to my current uni? Which is probably related to my 3rd question.

(3) Would I have to reapply to my current uni if I want to return next Spring?

(4) Has anyone ever been reinstated after suspension and then NOT gone back, but rather went to a different school? How might that work? Is it allowed? What might be the consequences, if any?

I know some of these questions may be better answered by my current school, but I've sent out all the emails, made all the calls, and left all the messages that I can for today and it's stressing me out enough to hope for an answer or two here. If you do have any polite advice or suggestions to offer, I would really appreciate it :)
