Transferring to EE

I'm currently a high school senior and I am debating between UC San Diego and University of Chicago. I want to major in EE. I know that UChicago does not offer an engineering degree, but how hard is it to do 2 years at UChic (as a physics major) and then transfer to a school such as UC Berkeley? And how hard is it to transfer from UCSD (with an EE major) to the same school? What kind of GPA is expected? Thanks a ton, -flux :)

Bump…anyone?

If you want to transfer to Berkeley, choose UCSD because it’s hard to get into any of the UC’s as an out of state transfer.
But if you REALLY want the best shot to get into Cal, go to a California community college (preferably one with a TAG agreeement).
UC’s give preference to California community college students.

I agree with Physicsfem,

Go to a California community college first, then transfer. It’s cheaper, you get transfer priority and if you pay for it yourself, it’s possible to get gain California residency.
