Right now, I am a Computer Engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh and I want to transfer to Fordham within a year or two. I know it seems crazy because I move into Pitt's main campus in two weeks, but I really want to do it for personal reasons. And the fact that I can get a degree from Columbia with their 3-2 program thing.

During high school, I applied to Fordham as Early Action and got waitlisted, eventually rejected. My GPA in high school was around a 3.3. Total SATs were 1800 (with a 700 math score). Extracurriculars were not my thing in high school. I did play football for 3 years, but my other merits aren't really outstanding enough to even mention...

I love the Fordham atmosphere. I visited the campus and loved the tour. I come from a suburban area and I'm definitely looking into a more urban campus. This is the same reason I really liked Pittsburgh, but it feels like an isolated city. Most of my family is from the tri-state area and I feel like I want to be closer to home without being too far. Plus, with its sites, setting and networking possibilities, who wouldn't want to study in New York?

However, since senior year, I feel have matured as a person. I am much more driven to join clubs and networks at Pitt. A graduation project I did in high school was how I lost 65 pounds over my senior year (couldn't really be caught in the personal essay at the time because the project was still in progress) and how it really affected my life. I guess you can say I'm an incredibly driven person.

Do you think that if I can improve my grades and join clubs, I can get accepted? How is the transfer process in Fordham? How fast can I transfer there?
