I want to transfer to FSU as an undergraduate this spring. I’ll have 42 credit hours at the end of the fall so I still don’t have my AA. With the application I have to send my high school GPA (which is a 2.8) and test scores which are well above the admission requirements. Right now my college GPA is high since I’ve retaken old classes I failed in the past and is now around a 3.4. Since high school grades are considered in the application, I wanted to know my chances of getting accepted or not before getting my AA. If the chances don’t look good, is there any chance I can do anything like take the SAT to get an outstanding score or do more extracurricular activities before transferring or is it hopeless?
I think you’ll be fine! Especially since you retook all the classes you failed and your gpa shot up. Taking the SAT would definitely be a good idea and so would doing some more extra curricular, but i definitely wouldn’t say your chances are hopeless!
What is your intended major?
You don’t need your AA to transfer. Once you go to your new school, you can transfer all your credits back to CC and get your AA. For example, I only needed two more courses to get my AA. I will take the last two courses at my new college. Once I get those two done I will get my AA.
