I am a freshman currently enrolled at Uconn, I've realized that this school is much too big for me and I need a more personal academic experience. I believe that Holy Cross would be an excellent fit for me. Also, I plan on attending law school after I get out of college and I know that Holy Cross is extremely sucessful in placing students into their top grad schools. I was wondering how frequently transfers are accepted to Holy Cross, if they are at all. If they are, can anyone give me any recommendation on what may better my chances of getting accepted! Thank you!

Just so you know, they are very tight with scholarship money. You might get some financial aid if your FAFSA (EFC) looks like you need it, but you are extremely unlikely to get any non-need based aid, and it is a very expensive school. It looks like what need-based finanical aid they do give out is about half grants and half loans (that's pretty normal).

Transfer student acceptance rate is 36%. Last year they took 16 transfer students. Minimum college GPA 3.3. More info available on the US News premium online College Guide.

Thank you so much for the information it was very helpful! I was jus wondering if anyone had any insight as to whether or not admission officers will look upon Uconn favorably as a school that a student wishing to transfer to HC attends. Uconn is obviously not quite as good academically as HC, but in books showing college selectivity it is ranked the same. Also, i'm from out of state and uconn accepted only 1000 of the 15000 students that applied form out of state this year...do you think that this school is good enough for HC to consider taking a transfer student from?? Thanks!

I think the school is not so important as to how you did there.

Good Luck.
