Transferring to Long Beach

I go to a junior college in the bay area and i want to transfer to csulb (or mabbey fullerton) for business. My GPA is 3.29 and i volanteer, and am in school clubs. What are my chances of getting in? Is it hard to get in to csulb?? Has anyone gotten in by transferring this year, and how did u do it(grades, community service, etc.). Also where is a good place to live in orange county if i do get in. I want to be close to school and close to irvine (family is there...).

csu’s dont care at all about extracurricular’s. For you it will purely be gpa, major prep classes, and csu ge certification. I would say that its harder than most csu’s to get in, but still attainable. Also, with a 3.29 I would say you have a good chance of getting in, if and only if, you have most major prep done and all your ge done. no need to rush through college. youre saving a ton of money by going to ccc.

The entire college of business administration is impacted. I think your GPA might be on the low side, to be honest. It’s gotten a lot harder to get in this year. I would wait until this fall’s transfer GPAs are released and then see what they are. You should apply either way though, you might get in. CSUs don’t look at extra-curriculars, just GPAs and whether or not you’ve completed the transfer requirements.

CSULB and Irvine are about 35-40 minutes away without traffic, but could be further depending on what part of Irvine. You could live somewhere in between, or live in Long Beach and go visit your family in Irvine.
