Has anyone successfully transferred into Mays without completing all the required courses? I still have to take Econ 2 and accounting 2 and don’t know if i have any chance of getting in right now and if it’s even worth it. Have people ever been deferred or put on hold for spring grades? I really don’t want to wait an entire year to apply because of one semester.

Yes you can apply for change of major but you need to definitely follow the Map to Mays list. Must have 30 TAMU gradeable credits. Must have taken both maths (no wavering on this) and then 2 other courses like Econ/Eng/Speech/Acct etc. Must have minimum 3.5 in these 4 classes. The more you take, the better your odds.
Also, yes, they will defer you for spring grades, but that’s not a bad thing. Better than waiting another year. What is your major now? Ag Business? If so, how do you like it? My son is going into that and wants to transfer to Mays too!
