I want to transfer to michigan from another in state college. Which in state college does michigan take the most transfers from and which school do you think would set me up the best for a successful transfer? Wayne? Cmu? Msu? Umdearborn? Any others? Also does michigan consider how good the quality of the school is that you are transferring from or how high your gpa is more? Thanks!

Kirtland Community College

Community college is completely out of the question, thanks.

I would think the better the University the better your chances. Great grades will help. I would think MSU and Grand Valley would be you best choices. My son transferred from Grand Valley after one year but he was a very strong candidate out of High School as well. I would talk to both U of M Flint and Dearborn to see what they have in place to help transfers. Washtenaw Community College has a special program to aid transfers to Michigan.

You should consider the school you wish to transfer into. LSA, COE and every other school/college will have different transfer requirements, so the best university to transfer from may depend on the school/college you wish to transfer into. Information on transfer requirements can be found here: [Transfer Student Requirements | University of Michigan Office of Admissions](Transfer Applicants | University of Michigan Office of Undergraduate Admissions)
