Transferring to MSU HELP!

Im currently a freshman at a 4 year institution, and im looking to transfer after this spring semester. I am aware that I need to have both MTH 103, and WRA 101 for admission. I have completed both, but I did not pass math. This next semester I am getting a tutor and retaking math 103 and Im sure that I will finish with an A. This semester I finished with a 2.0 because I was struggling with personal issues. I am positive that I will get a 3.9 or 4.0 next semester which will bring my GPA up to a 3.0. A issue that im facing is, I need to take one class in the summer to have 28 credits. The class that I would be taking would end in april/may. Ive called the admissions office, and they said that they will not see my summer credits and they would make a decision before then.
I am wondering if they could hold my application until my classes are finished instead of deciding before because I have not met the requirements. I did see someone get denied because they didn’t have enough credits, and they made a decision before. But after getting denied, they appealed it and explained that they took classes over the summer.
Also, has anyone gotten in with a 2.9??/
Ive been extremely stressed and I dont want to attend any other school!! pls hlp!

Yeah getting in will be quite a struggle for you. I don’t want to put you down by saying all this, but its the honest truth. I have a friend who was trying to transfer and was in a very similar situation as you. He had a 3.1 GPA and failed math his first time around. within a few weeks Msu got back to him and completely denied his application. Don’t be discouraged, work hard next semester and bring the gpa up with a good grade in the math class and try to transfer for the 2020 semester. Good luck!
