<p>Hi.
I am currently a 2nd semester freshman Queens College student, with a 2.9 GPA (low, i know)
i had basically a 90 average in HS, taking 4 AP classes.
i had a 1900 SAT, 680 in math, 630 in reading.
i'm not sure if they look at my college or HS grades.
i am thinking of transferring to SUNY New Paltz, for the start of my sophomore year.
i had been accepted to NP when i first applied, and got 10k in loans.
my household income is around 70k.
Also, i have heard that they do not give dorm rooms to transfer students.
my questions are :
- will i get in?
- how much will i be expected to pay?
- is it hard to find off campus housing?</p>
<p>The place to start is at the New Paltz transfer student page which outlines what they consider for admission. [State</a> University of New York at New Paltz: Undergraduate Admissions - Admissions Criteria for Transfers](<a href=“http://www.newpaltz.edu/admissions/transfer.html]State”>Transfer Admission | SUNY New Paltz) </p>
<p>The FA page [State</a> University of New York at New Paltz: Financial Aid Office](<a href=“http://www.newpaltz.edu/financialaid/]State”>Student Financial Services | SUNY New Paltz) shows they only consider the FAFSA. With $70K income you’ll be eligible for a Stafford loan.</p>
<p>Thanks for the reply.
For some reason, when i applied for NP on the applySUNY website, they did not ask for any supplementals.
is that wierd for transfer students not to have to do supplementals?</p>
