Transferring to Northeastern?

Okay a little background information. I am just about to end my first semester of my freshman year at a small college in Boston. Northeastern University was my dream school since middle school and I was so sure that I was going to get accepted as an undergrad applicant. But I was deferred from early action and ultimately rejected during regular decision. Not going to lie i'm still upset about it and I feel like a part of me will always want to attend Northeastern. The school that I am at now is okay. There's nothing really exceptional about it but nothing that makes me want to get out as soon as possible either. I am a Pre-Med major and I am worried that I am going to have trouble getting into a medical school because there are limited opportunities for getting involved and getting internships.

How easy is it to transfer into Northeastern's school of science in comparison to applying as an undergrad?
What GPA do they usually look for?
If you attend northeastern how would you rate your experience thus far and would you recommend the school?

My son is a freshman Chemistry major at Northeastern. We spoke with the Chemistry department chair at parent’s weekend and asked about freshman admits and transfers. He said 41 accepted students enrolled as freshmen, and they admitted another 11 transfer students. The department chair said the transfers were all kids who really wanted to go to Northeastern but didn’t have the stats to get in as freshmen. They spent their freshman year at other colleges, did very well, and earned a spot as transfer. I don’t know if this will extrapolate to other departments within the College of Science, but if your grades are very good you may have a shot.
