Hi,

I am currently trying to transfer to Northeastern University in Boston from the University of Maine, Orono. I am currently working on my second bachelors in computer engineering and have already achieved a B.S. in business admin from the same institution a year before. The main reason for wanting to transfer is the location. Orono is in the middle of no where and I can't bear much more of it. Here comes the problem, my first go round in college was not very academically focused and my grades reflect that with a 2.6 in a relatively easy major. I am in my first semester of computer engineering taking calculus 1, physics 1(calc based for scientists and engineerings), and, a computer/electrical engineering class (its a prereq for many higher level classes but is not an intro class by any means). All classes are 4 credits each and I can not take anymore classes than that because I have completed all my gen eds. I have spoken with northeastern and they said that I can transfer 80 credits over towards my major which is what I want but I am just very concerned about my chances of getting in. I am currently holding an B in calculus and physics and an A in my engineering course. My attitude and determination have done a 180 since my first undergrad and I really want to illustrate that to Northeastern to accommodate my low GPA. Any recommendations on how I can better my chances of acceptance to Northeastern engineering programs??? Thanks!!
