I am entering my freshmen year of college at the end of the month, and unfortunately it is not going to be at NYU. I was accepted to NYU's freshman class this past March, but for financial reasons was unable to attend. My question is basically if I decide I want to apply to NYU as a transfer applicant later on in my college career, does the fact that I was previously accepted to NYU out of high school help? I understand that this does not guarantee that I'll be admitted as a transfer applicant, especially if my college grades are poor, but I'm just wondering if anybody has any idea if it will help my case that they accepted me initially. Thanks!
