I’m a freshman in community college and I’m hoping to transfer to Vassar or NYU. I have been actively working hard to maintain a high college gpa, but my question does not involve college grades as I already know how important they are.
I’m worried about my high school transcripts and test grades impacting my chances of getting into Vassar, NYU, or any other college of prestige. I know NYU doesn’t require test scores after a year at cc, but I still worry about my high school grades impact my shot; for Vassar, admissions requires both so I’m especially concerned about that.
My final high school gpa was an 88 (3.3w) and my combined SAT score was a 1680. (I applied to NYU as a freshman applicant and was rejected if it makes a difference).
Would these be determining factors in my chances of getting into NYU, Vassar, or schools of the sort? Thanks for any help you can offer!
