Transferring to NYU

I applaud your determination. Work hard. I wish the best of luck to you.

…I realize that this post is rather late, but a few months ago I read another book on getting into colleges. The author, and I’m so sorry his name and the book’s name escapes me now, did a lot of his college work as an adult.

His whole premise, is that there are certain tricks that can get you into a college or into a better college. One is geography. The author lived in Hawaii and was a poor student. He got into a university in the midwest because, he says, he was so outsid their geographic mold that they were happy to have him.

He also went to some other schools and was able to gain admittance to an MBA program (I think it was an MBA program) based upon his experience starting and running a small business, as opposed to his mediocre grades as an undergrad.

I wish I could remember the name of the book, but look at college admission books on amazon and then look at the index pages and reviews. You’ll find it!

Babson is an AMAZING school and I think it’s be a great fit for you. Read about some of their alumni and what they’re gone on to do. I think some of the things on your resume will really impress the adcom there.
