Hey, I was just wondering if it’s even possible to transfer to Ohio State second semester as a freshman. I have gotten on their admissions site, but am kinda confused as to if it is even possible. I applied to OSU during my senior year and got into a branch campus, not the main one. I ended up not going to the regional campus and going to another school. I just want to see if I can get in main campus second semester…any help would be much appreciated!

Looks like if you are in your first term of college, they review your HS performance and you SAT/ACT score. I’d imagine their decision would still be the same unless you improved on what you submitted. But, at the same time, I’d imagine they are more lenient for the Spring Semester with a less people applying. The only way to find out is to re-apply! Here’s where I got the info about what they look at:
[Transfer admission](<a href=“Transfer students - The Ohio State University”>Transfer students - The Ohio State University)

So, just to clarify: you plan to apply to transfer while you still have the same high-school transcript as before, and the same standardized test scores as before, and you don’t have any college grades yet, and you don’t yet have any professors who know you well enough to write you a strong recommendation.

Unless I have missed something, I don’t understand why you should get a result that’s any different from last time.

“Unless I have missed something, I don’t understand why you should get a result that’s any different from last time.”

Second-semester admissions is drastically less competitive, so it’s very logical that someone would have a completely different result.

In that case, good luck to the OP.
