Im a freshman at John Carroll, in Cleveland Ohio. I applied to Ohio State when I was in high school and got denied. I called OSU yesterday and they said I could apply again for winter quarter with my high school credits and my completed college credits. They also said I can apply for spring quarter which is when I will have 30 credits, for them not to look at my high school transcript. I took PSEO classes in high school that is why I have 30 credits so soon. My High School GPA was a 2.95 (which is what I will will apply with for winter, along with 14 credits in college with a GPA of 2.5) And if I apply for spring my college GPA will be above a 3.0. I am just worried because i heard its hard to get in and i don't know if my GPA is good enough. I also have a D on my transcript, which won't transfer but they will see it. What is my chance? Any advice? Thanks!

Please help, any info or advice is appreciated!

It would be a good idea to wait until your GPA is higher. You have a better chance that way. Here is some OSU transfer info:

Thanks, I think I’ll still apply for winter and if I don’t get accepted Ill apply for spring! I heard that its a lot easier and they consider 2.5 to be competitive? Ill try my best

I have also heard that applying as a transfer is a lot easier than as a freshman. Even by looking at the above statistics, for FALL semester, 3,700 out of 4,300 hundred transfer applications were accepted. Those are pretty good odds.

Transferring to OSU is really, really easy.

Thanks, I feel pretty confident! Just a little nervous but the best I can do is give it a shot, thanks for giving your input!

Anyone else?

I just applied and now it is under review, so nervous! Any more info on transfer students?

Just wondering if you got in?? Im kinda in the same boat right now…
