Transferring to OSU, couple of questions

Hey guys, I’m about to start school in a few weeks at the College of Dupage (Community College in the suburbs of Chicago) and really would like to transfer to OSU for Accounting. How hard is it to get in (GPA wise?) and how competitive is it? Also, does anyone have a link for courses I need to take to transfer there? I looked and even emailed them but they have yet to respond. All information is appreciated, thanks!

I had the same question. I heard of an out of stater transferring in with as low as a 2.9 and in stater transferring in with as low as a 2.7. but i am pretty sure it’s easier for in state students. i’d say you would have a reasonable shot with anything above a 3.0, and a definite shot with a 3.5 or higher. Just try and see what happens! :)

I forgot to mention that I have a learning disability as well, how would this effect my chances on admission. I don’t think I would want to do Accounting anymore, possibly Management or Marketing. Do they also care about extracurriculars in college as well? I plan on joining some clubs this semester.

I wouldn’t think doing some extracurrics could hurt, would probably be really good to do actually.

As for the learning disability, I would say that it would probably be a good idea to launch a new thread about trying to transfer with having one in the parents forum or college admissions forum on this site. There will be far better advice from posters who frequent those sections.
